LOCATION: SAINT-STEPHEN, NB DATE: SATURDAY, MAY 3RD, 2025 DETAILS: On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, we will be kicking off the HP Bass Series with our first stop an excellent spot for bass fishing enthusiasts at the Woodland Flowage in Saint Stephen, NB. Anglers will find both smallmouth and largemouth bass thriving in this calm, scenic body of water. The early May timing promises cooler water temperatures, which will make bass more active, particularly near the rocky shorelines and submerged structures where they tend to feed. With the beauty of the surrounding wilderness and a promising location to open the season, Woodland Flowage is set to offer a rewarding fishing experience for both novice and seasoned anglers. QUALIFIER #2 THE ARM
BODY OF WATER: MACTAQUAC STREAM BASIN
LOCATION: MACTAQUAC, NB DATE: SATURDAY, JULY 19TH, 2025 DETAILS: On Saturday, July 19th, 2025, the Mactaquac Stream Basin in Mactaquac, NB, will be host for our second location of the HP Bass Series, a prime location for targeting both smallmouth and largemouth bass. With the warm summer weather, bass will be highly active, particularly in the early morning and late afternoon when water temperatures are cooler. Smallmouth bass are likely to be found near rocky points and faster-moving water, where they respond well to spinnerbaits and tubes. Largemouth bass, on the other hand, will be more abundant in the slower-moving, weedy areas of the stream, making soft plastics and weedless lures ideal for enticing strikes. The basin’s rich aquatic vegetation and diverse structure make it a perfect habitat for both species, promising a dynamic and exciting day for anglers. BODY OF WATER: LAKE WAUKLEHEGAN
LOCATION: MCADAM, NB DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 16TH, 2025 DETAILS: On Saturday, August 16th, 2025, Lake Wauklehegan in McAdam, NB, will host our third stop in the HP Bass Series. As summer winds down, bass will be active, especially during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning and late evening. Smallmouth bass are likely to be found around the abundant boulders, points, ledges, and deeper areas, where using crankbaits, ned’s and jerkbaits will be effective. Meanwhile, largemouth bass will be hiding in the lake's abundant vegetation, near docks, and submerged logs, making topwater lures, and spinner ideal for exciting blow ups.
